Riv-Nail R2D is a rivet hinged belt fastener for medium to heavy-duty belts. Top and bottom plates sandwich each belt end and are secured by a staggered pattern of self-setting Riv-Nails (semi-tubular rivets paired with pilot nails). The compression design does not rely entirely on belt fabric for pull-out resistance, making Riv-Nail the preferred mechanical splice on worn belts and high-strength synthetic carcasses.

Material: Durgard is a proprietary heat-treated steel with abrasion-resistant characteristics that provides several times the service life of standard steel. Not recommended for highly corrosive environments.
